Years before the viral $19 strawberry arrived at Erewhon, Oishii brought its decadent omakase berries — known for its smooth, sweet flavor and juicy, creamy texture — to Whole Foods Market in the U.S.

The rare berry variety was previously only available seasonally to those who live near the Japanese Alps where it’s grownuntil New Jersey-based Oishii found a way to replicate the same conditions — light rain, cool breeze and a sunny winter day — in an indoor vertical farm. Foodies and beauty buffs can now slather the delicious scent (and glow-giving benefits) of the celebrity-loved fruitonto their skin in the form of Iota’s limited-edition, superfood-infused Oishii Berry+ Body Lotion that keeps skin hydrated for 24 hours.

Michelin-starred chef Dominique Ansel and stars including Gwyneth Paltrow and Chrissy Teigen use Oishii’s photogenic omakase strawberries in their recipes, and the berry is now the star ingredient in Iota’s nourishing body care collab that also includes a hydrating body wash. Priced at $38, the new Iota x Oishii Berry+ Body Lotion is packed with antioxidants, ellagic acid (known for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles) and glow-giving salicylic acid from the non-GMO omakase strawberries. (A 4.2-ounce box — or about 11 omakase strawberries — goes for $10.)

The lotion also contains firming rambutan, niacinimide (which helps to brighten the skin and reduce redness), caffeine (for improving tone and texture) and prebiotics and postbiotics for supporting the skin’s microbiome, according to Iota. The brand notes that its products are EU compliant, so you won’t find over 1,400 banned ingredients in their formulas.

Iota and Oishii’s limited-edition body care collaboration also includes body wash ($32) packaged in a recyclable aluminum bottle. The body wash and lotion are also 15 percent off and come with a $10 Iota gift card when you buy them as a duo ($68).

Its products feature “a proprietary blend of microbiome balancing prebiotics and postbiotics that directly target the root of skin health and helps address skin issues before they occur, [and] an expansive composition of multivitamins and essential actives thoughtfully crated based on compatibility and selected for radiance, firmness, hydration and smoothness,” Iota says.

The beauty brand is known for its superfood-powered skin and body care products, such as the bestselling Supermatcha+ body lotion designed to reduce breakouts and the Supercloud+ body serum with dragonfruit and Japanese yuzu to even out the skin tone and boost cell turnover.
