Spotlight Sim Update & Datamines – August 8th, ’24
On August 8th, the limit of Sim attacks in Spotlight Raids was increased to 10 (up from 5). This will help save time for a lot of players who have the required teams built up high. Unrestricted nodes can be Simmed using X-Treme X-Men at around 2 million TCP, especially if we replace Cyclops with Old Man Logan. Spider-Society nodes can be simmed when the team is nearing 3 million TCP and has all of the essential abilities maxed out, while Alpha Flight needs to be around 2,5 million TCP to sim all nodes reliably.
Datamines can often offer us a sneak peak at whats coming up ahead, the most reliable info is about the upcoming events which we can get a week, sometimes two, in advance. But there is even more we can glean from it on occasion. Today we’ll take a look at upcoming events next week.
The next Main Event, Diamond Claws, will require Spending Campaing Energy, battling in Crucible, and spending Power Cores. The main rewards will include T2 and T3 Iso-8 materials, Training Modules, Crimson Gear, and more. This event will feature a Leaderboard section with even more T3 Iso-8 rewards as well as Diamonds for Logan for top players (likely top 1,000 but can be top 2,000 for 1 Diamond). The Web Milestone will be two-pronged – Spending Incursion Campaign Energy and earning Blitz Credits. We can start saving our Campaign Energy now to get as good of a leaderboard rank as we can, while we likely won’t be able to save enough to earn Logan Diamonds, the higher our rank ends up being, the more Purple Iso rewards we will get, which will help us in our DD8 hunt.
We will also have another Alliance Event next week, centered around spending Iso-8 energy.
On top of that, datamines also indicate that there are more events and even gifts coming to new players soon, which should help them progress better in Arena and Raids. We will post another update on this once we have more information.
Annihilators News & Arena Updates – August 6, ’24
The next big MSF team is on the horizon – Annihilators. And their release will be accompanied by some new events/milestones, most of which will center around Arena.
Each new Annihilator will have a featured Orb that can reward players with Annihilator character shards, including the new characters. Starting August 7th and running into October, the Arena Payouts will include the featured Orb. There will be 3 separate Orbs released in succession, and each orb will have a different mix of shards:
- Gladiator Annihilator Orb – Gladiator and Silver Surfer shards
- Gorr Annihilator Orb – Gorr, Gladiator, and Silver Surfer shards
- Thanos Annihilator Orb – Thanos (Endgame), Gladiator, Gorr, and Silver Surfer shards
Only One Annihilator Orb will be available at a time, with the next Orb, Gorr Annihilator Orb, arriving with the debut of Gorr offers, which should happen next week. Alongside each Annihilator Orb, we will also have a Milestone that will reward us with shards for the featured character.
ADVERTIsem*nT
Gladiator’s Milestone (already live) is called Gladiator’s Expedition. Gorr and Thanos will have similar Milestones (Gorr’s Hunt and Thanos’s Crusade). Gladiator’s Milestone will last for 43 days, and we’re assuming that Gorr’s and Thanos’s Milestones will have the runtime shortened by 7 and 14 days respectively; this way, all 3 Milestones will end simultaneously. While we will be receiving Gladiator’s Annihilator Orbs from Arena for much less than 43 Days, the assumption is that we will still be getting some Orbs from the upcoming events. Similar to how we received Queen’s Entourage and Pym Pals Orbs from events leading up to Hank Pym’s and Black Panther (Shuri) releases.
It is important to mention, that these bonus milestones are just a bonus way of earning more Annihilator shards and that each Annihilator will still have a standard release event.
For each Gladiator Annihilator Orb we open, we receive 2,000 Points. If our assumption is correct and each individual Annihilator Orb will only be featured in Arena payouts for a week, this means that we can predict how far we will get in the Milestone.
Reward structure with the the 7 day total and Milestone completion expectancy:
- The players Ranked in the top 10 will receive 10 Orbs per day, 70 Orbs total, 140,000 Milestone Points (Milestone 6 of Gladiators Expedition)
- Rank 11-20 will receive 9 Orbs, 63 Orbs, 126 Milestone Points
- Rank 21-50 will receive 8 Orbs, 56 Orbs, 112 Milestone Points
- Rank 51-100 will receive 7 Orbs, 49 Orbs, 98,000 Milestone Points
- Rank 101-250 will receive 6 Orbs, 42 Orbs, 84,000 Milestone Points (Milestone 5)
- Rank 251-500 will receive 5,5 Orbs, 38,5 Orbs, 77,000 Milestone Points
Players Ranked in the top 10 for the whole week will be 30,000 Points short of the next Milestone, meaning they will need another 15 Gladiator Annihilator Orbs, and we will likely get that or even more from Annihilator release Events and Arena Warriors events.
Weekend Event – Arena Warriors
Similar to the Merc’s Bounty events we had around the release of Old Man Logan and Mercs For Money, Annihilators will have Arena Warriors weekend milestones, which will reward us with more Annihilator Orb Fragments, as well as Awakened Abilities for Captain Britain. To progress in these Milestones, players will need to battle with Annihilators at various Star Ranks. At the moment of writing, no other info is available for these events, but you can expect an update to this page once we find out more.
Shattered Dimension
The new version of Pocked Dimension was also announced today, dubbed – Shattered Dimension. This new Dimension will arrive sometime during the Annihilators recruitment period and Annihilators will be one of the two key teams needed. We are warned that later missions of this game mode will require higher Gear Tiers for Annihilators, but there are no other details provided about it whatsoever (other than we will get 1 Diamond for Gladiator upon completion). The previous version, Temporal Dimension, had the requirement of GT15 to finish all nodes. That said, Shattered Dimension might have the requirements raised.
When it comes to new Annihilator characters, gearing them up as high as you can will be essential for being successful in Arena, so there is no argument against maxing them out the moment you get them. As for Ultimus and Silver Surfer, they won’t be getting a lot of use in Arena, so if you did not intend to upgrade them anyway, to use in other game modes, it is best to wait until we get more info about Shattered Dimension’s Requirements.
On top of that, we don’t know the second required team and when Shattered Dimensions will go live, so it’s best to stay patient for now, and we will keep you posted.

Annihilators Showcase
The new showcase event for the Annihilators also went live today, this time the showcase shares the same structure as the Illuminati Showcase, meaning that we will have 4 different segments of the showcase, one for each new character (Thanos, Gorr, Gladiator) and a final one for the whole team. The marquee reward for completing these showcases will be Diamonds for Hank Pym. Why Hank? Rumor has it that initially, the devs intended to have Ultimus’s Diamonds there, but by the time they were ready to announce that, a lot of players went ahead and spent Dark Diamond Credits to upgrade Ultimus since his rework was already live and he was proving to be a great character. To avoid causing any problems, the devs changed the rewards to feature the latest character – Hank Pym. We will be able to get up to 3 Diamonds for Hank.
- Gladiator Showcase, Node 2-3 – 1 Diamond
- Gorr Showcase, Node 2-3 – 2 Diamonds
- Annihilator Team Showcase, Node 2-3 – 3 Diamonds
Chapter 2 node 3 of all Showcases will require the new Annihilator characters to be at 5 Yellow Stars, so to get any Diamonds for Hank, players will likely have to spend tons of Power Cores on Annihilators 675 PC release Orbs, or spend money on offers. There is also a chance that some players will get lucky and receive big jackpot rewards from the Annihilator Orbs we get from Arena, but that chance is quite small.
Arena Updates
Arena Reward payouts were also improved today. Now, all Ranks (except Rank 1) will be getting more Power Cores on a daily basis, and the amount of Arena Credits we earn was massively improved for all Ranks (including Rank 1).
Ranks 1-10 will now receive 500 Power Cores, whereas before, only the player ranked first would have gotten 500 Power Cores. In terms of Arena Credits, Rank 1 will now receive 5,000 instead of 1,150, almost a 5x increase. Rank 2 will get 4,000. and Rank 3 wil get 3,000. All Ranks after that will get around 2K with less and less the lower we go.
To simplify, the midrange Ranks, like 11-100, where most of the active players fall into, will essentially get double the rewards. The Top Ranks will get more than double in terms of Arena Credits, but only slightly more Power Cores than they normally would, with Rank 1 getting the same amount as before the update. This is not ideal, as it can reduce the incentive for active players to maintain top ranks and can ultimately stifle the competition. But it is great for players who are usually stuck around the Top 10 and can’t grab the leading spots because they don’t have Mephisto or other new characters, etc. We might see further improvements down the line.
Additionally, on a limited time basis, the Arena Store received some new character shards. Starting now, and up until August 9th at 2 PM (PDT), players can find shards for the following characters in the Arena Store:
- The Leader
- Iron Patriot
- Cosmic Ghost Rider
- Starbrand
- Red Goblin
- Gwenom
- Sunspot
- Forge
- Nightcrawler
- Lizard
- Spider-Slayer
- Kraven the Hunter
- Ironheart (MKII)
- Darkhawk
- Iron Man (Infinity War)
- Tigra
- Mockingbird
- Ghost Rider (Robbie)
- Ms. Marvel (Hard Light)
- Photon
On top of that, Arena Store will now also feature L4 Training Modules permanently.

Age Of X: Chapter 2 – August 6, ’24
The second Chapter of the Age Of X campaign events is going live August 7th and is titled The Mind Of Magneto.
There will be 7 Missions with no requirements, so players of all Commander Levels will be able to experience the story, and necessary characters will be provided for them.
The story will center around Old Man Logan, Phoenix, and Emma Frost, who venture into the mind of Magneto to discover the secret of the missing mutant – Professor X. This is just a bonus event, that forms the in-game story surrounding the mystery of Charles disappearance, which will conclude with us unlocking him sometime in 2025.
the first-time rewards will include character shards, T4 Ability materials, L4 Training Modules, and more, while each node will also offer standard rewards, like Gold or Training Orb Fragments, Ability Materials, Gear Credits, T2 Iso-8 Credits, and more.
Spending Age Of X campaign energy will also help players progress in Weeks 3 and 4 of the Pool Party events.
